The Woods Hole Research Center addresses the great issues for a healthy planet through science, education, and policy. Current core areas for the Center include climate change, land use, and water. The Woods Hole Research Center combines natural science with economics to discover sustainable paths for human prosperity and dependence on the Earth's resources. Its scientists and policy experts are internationally recognized leaders of their fields, publishing in the highest quality peer-reviewed journals as well as communicating science in policy arenas. The Woods Hole Research Center works around the Earth, from local to global scales, including the Amazon and Cerrado of South America, the Congo Basin and East Africa, the high latitudes of North America and Eurasia, and across the United States.
